RentYourTime is an app for people who want to spend less time on their phone. It turns abstract screen-time numbers into something you can immediately understand: a daily allowance and a visible cost.
Choose how much screen time you want each day. Your allowance is always free.
After your allowance runs out, every extra minute adds virtual rent to your daily bill.
Close the app, keep your streak alive, and see how much time and rent you avoided.
Screen-time totals are easy to ignore. A cost is something you already know how to weigh.
“4h 12m” is easy to shrug off. RentYourTime turns every minute past your allowance into a cost you can see, at a rate you choose.
The meter runs while you scroll, so the trade-off shows up at the moment you choose whether to keep going, not in a weekly report.
You set the allowance and the rate. Nothing is blocked: the price is a nudge you set for yourself.
The rent is never charged. It is a signal, not a bill. Supporting RentYourTime is optional and separate.
Example calculation: 20 minutes over your allowance a day, at $0.10 a minute, adds up to about $61 a month in virtual rent. A sample scenario, not a user average.
Try your own numbers →RentYourTime launches on Web, iOS and Android. Features marked “Coming later” are planned, with no dates set yet.
A one-time payment for a numbered Founder spot with Pro included: 12 months, 36 months or for life. The sale closes at launch.

RentYourTime is a digital wellbeing and screen-time management application built to help you take back control of your digital life. Here is what the app does, how it manages screen time, and how Google authentication works.
RentYourTime gives you a concrete, psychological reason to put your phone down. Instead of aggressive app blockers that breed frustration, RentYourTime uses behavioral economics: a customizable daily allowance of free screen time, followed by a visible virtual rent meter for overtime usage. It transforms abstract “hours spent” into an intuitive cost that motivates self-discipline.
The app tracks daily screen time and device usage, comparing activity against your daily goal. You receive clear summaries of your minutes saved, streaks maintained, and virtual rent avoided. Your usage metrics remain private to your personal device and account—designed solely for your self-reflection and digital wellbeing.
RentYourTime offers Sign in with Google exclusively for secure, passwordless account authentication.
