Is the rent real?
No. Every bill is virtual and nothing is ever charged for using your phone. It is a behavioral signal designed to make time feel tangible.
How much does RentYourTime cost?
The Free plan costs nothing and has no time limit. Pro is $8.99 a month or $89.99 a year. Prices are in US dollars.
How do I pay for Pro?
On the website you pay on the Stripe payment page, which shows the available payment methods. A subscription bought through the App Store or Google Play is billed by Apple or Google under their terms.
Does Pro renew automatically?
Yes. Pro renews for another period of the same length, a month or a year, and each new period is charged to your saved payment method when it starts, until you cancel.
Can I cancel Pro?
Yes, at any time: on your account page (Subscription tab) or by email to legal@rentyourtime.app. Cancelling switches off renewal, and Pro stays active until the end of the period you paid for. A subscription bought through the App Store or Google Play is cancelled there.
What happens to my account after I cancel?
You keep your account. When the paid period ends it continues on the Free plan, which costs nothing and has no time limit; the features marked Pro stop being available.
Can I change my plan?
You can move from Free to Pro at any time once Pro is on sale, and back to Free by cancelling. You choose monthly or yearly billing when you subscribe.
Can I get a refund?
Cancelling does not refund the period you already paid for. Consumers have a 14-day right of withdrawal, with the conditions and exceptions set out in §11 of the Terms of Service.
Does the waitlist discount last?
People who verified their waitlist signup before launch (15.12.2026) get 25% off Pro, monthly or yearly — also when they subscribe after launch. The discount applies to every renewal for as long as that subscription stays active. Signing up for product updates after launch does not include it.
How long does Founder Pro last?
Founder First (12 months) and Founder Gold (36 months) count their Pro time from launch day, 15.12.2026 — not from the day you pay — so buying early never shortens it. Pro is switched on as soon as your payment is confirmed, so it also covers early access before launch. When the included Pro period ends, only the Pro features move to the Free plan, unless you choose to subscribe to Pro at the regular price. You stay a Founder: your Founder number, badge and the Founder benefits that don't depend on Pro (such as your Founder rank and Founder channels on Discord) remain. There is no ongoing or lifetime discount on Pro.
When does the app launch?
RentYourTime launches on Web, iOS and Android on 15.12.2026. All three arrive on the same day. Join the waitlist and we’ll email you when it is live. Pro subscriptions open at launch.
Do I need separate accounts for web, iOS and Android?
No. Sign in on the web, iOS and Android with the same RentYourTime account. Your sign-in and profile are shared across platforms. Screen-time numbers are measured on your phone and stay on that device.
What does “Coming later” mean?
The feature is planned but not in the app yet. No dates are set, so none are promised.
